Ryan White Part A HIV/AIDS Program
As part of the Ryan White Part A C.A.R.E. (Comprehensive AIDS Resource Emergency) Act, DSAS offers home health care to persons living with AIDS in Cuyahoga County. The services are available to adults over the age of 18. These services have proven to be a significant factor in enabling HIV/AIDS clients to maintain the dignity and comfort of independent living.
Home health care is a vital service for those recovering from hospitalizations. DSAS state tested, certified home health aides have experience with the dynamic care needs of people with diverse ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientation lifestyles. DSAS home health care is networked with other HIV/AIDS care agencies to ensure that clients have access to all resources. Para-professional home health care includes homemaking and personal care.
