Aging and Disability Summit 2020

We are pleased to announce that the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) joined the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) and The MetroHealth System this year in planning the 26th Aging and Disability Summit. The purpose of this partnership was to bring professionals in the field of gerontology from five counties in Northeast Ohio together for an unprecedented professional development and networking experience like no other. This event, "Aging and Disability Summit 2020: From Hindsight to Foresight" was to address the ever-changing needs of older adults and adults with disabilities and to develop a region-wide vision and action plan for serving these populations.

However, amidst the widespread disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses and other organizations like ours are making difficult decisions on whether to cancel meetings, conferences, expos and other events. In that spirit, we regret to inform you that the Cuyahoga County Aging Summit that was scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2020 has been canceled this year. We hope to reschedule for some time in 2021, with an even more robust program agenda, a local and national speaker line-up, and a networking experience unlike any other. In the meantime, we have listed a variety of professional development opportunities below for those who have continuing education units that you must satisfy for licensure and certification renewals. Thank you for understanding and please stay safe and be well!
